Warranty

CYVANTECH offers a One (1) Year Limited Worldwide Hardware Warranty to its authorized clients, as outlined below:

  • CYVANTECH warrants that all hardware products are free from manufacturing defects. Additionally, CYVANTECH guarantees that its hardware products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship that result in a material deviation from the applicable published technical specifications or any client-specific customized specifications (referred to as a 'Hardware System Failure').
  • In the event of a hardware defect and upon receipt of a valid warranty claim within the applicable warranty period, CYVANTECH will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective hardware within 15 working days from the date of receipt. The product must be shipped to CYVANTECH with all shipping costs prepaid by the customer. CYVANTECH assumes no responsibility for any shipping charges incurred.
  • In the event that any part(s) of the unit are repaired or replaced, the warranty shall continue to be valid for the remaining unexpired portion of the original warranty period or for 60 days from the date of repair or replacement, whichever is longer. The time required for repair and transit, whether covered under warranty or not, shall not be deducted from the warranty period.

Warranty Start Date

All CYVANTECH warranties commence on the date of the Commercial Invoice, Tax Invoice, or 30 days from the date of shipment—whichever occurs first. Warranty claims must be submitted prior to the expiration of the applicable warranty period.

Warranty Coverage

This warranty is contingent upon the proper use of CYVANTECH hardware and will be void under the following circumstances:

  • If the hardware has been modified without prior written approval from CYVANTECH.
  • If the serial number of the hardware has been removed or altered.
  • If the product(s) have been damaged or impaired in any way, including, but not limited to, damage caused by lightning, abnormal voltage, water, or intentional harm.

This warranty supersedes all other rights, conditions, and warranties. CYVANTECH makes no express or implied warranties regarding its products or documentation, including, but not limited to, their quality, performance, merchantability, or suitability for a particular purpose.

Under no circumstances will CYVANTECH be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products or documentation, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

CYVANTECH shall not be held responsible for any costs, including but not limited to, those resulting from lost profits, lost revenue, data loss, or any other financial losses.

Additionally, CYVANTECH will not be liable for any personal injury or death resulting from the use of our products, whether directly or indirectly.

Warranty Claim

Below are the procedures and guidelines established by CYVANTECH for the repair of hardware products, in accordance with the terms outlined in CYVANTECH's Warranty Policy.

Repair of products under warranty.

Any product returned for repair within the warranty period will be repaired or replaced at no cost, provided that:

  • The product(s) are returned to CYVANTECH within the warranty period.
  • Upon inspection, CYVANTECH determines that the defect is not caused by accident, misuse, neglect, alteration, water damage, lightning damage, voltage surges, or any other improper use.

Non-warranty repair or exchange of products

Products returned for repair are eligible only if the devices are still in production. Repairs are not available for discontinued products, and the cost of repair must not exceed the cost of replacement. If a product cannot be repaired, it will be returned to the customer at their expense, along with a detailed explanation of the reason for this decision. For repairs outside of the warranty period, a standard minimum booking fee per unit, as outlined in the price schedule, will apply. The CYVANTECH team will provide the customer with a quotation for the parts requiring replacement. Written authorization and a purchase order number will be requested before proceeding with the repair.

Procedure for returning products for repair

Before returning any product for repair, customers must complete a Repair Fault Report, which can either be obtained from CYVANTECH or self-generated by the customer. The company will not accept any product for repair without this completed form. The report must include a thorough description of the fault, along with details of the circumstances and environment in which the fault occurred. Failure to submit the "Repair Fault Report" with the product will result in an additional fault-finding charge.

Shipping

The hardware product must be shipped to and from the CYVANTECH office at the customer's expense. The shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and are not covered by CYVANTECH.

Insurance

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the consignment is adequately insured during transit to the CYVANTECH offices. CYVANTECH assumes no liability for any loss or damage to the product while in transit.

Product configuration

Products returned for repair or exchange will be upgraded to the latest product build revision, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. The company reserves the right to refuse repair or exchange of any product that has been modified in any way from its original specification. CYVANTECH is not responsible for any damages or loss of data added by the customer to the product prior to return for repair.

Charges for repair

As stated earlier, if charges are applicable, the customer is required to provide a purchase order number along with the signed quotation from CYVANTECH staff for the relevant repairs. Additionally, the customer must prepay all shipping costs, including insurance, for shipments to and from the CYVANTECH offices.
